why is everyone that works with or owns a Red so smug and up their own ass? what do you shoot with a Red One with some extras?(the lens options for those are mind blowning as well as the camera’s overall quality in general. but for the record no the Pelican cases couldnt buy multiple of his len, he isn’t shooting with a Century MKII or something of that caliber. he has their Xtreme lens for HVX cams. a 1650 which is i believe one of if not Pelican’s largest case cost about $240 new where as his lens clocks in at $2,649.. so yeh your wrong. The wide angle he used in the videos he filmed so far im pretty sure was a Opteka. which looks NOWHERE near the qulaity of the Century. with it the entire forground and background can be in crystal clear focus. but his future work should all be with the Century so im kinda excited to see what he produces as well as everything he shoots for the demolition video. I agree though over use of a fisheye especially if you have a nice camera is a waste. and yeh your comment did seem like a personal attack on him. but it was deff cool of you to clear it up. lets see some links to videos shot with the red though. if you had and Epic that would be really tight haha!

Hey Andy I just wanted to mention that I wasn’t directing my comment to Christian but rather to people that were interested in filming in general. I should have mentioned that before hand and I could see how my comment seemed like a personal attack towards him. I work with 4k video shot with the RED yet I still do appreciate a good ol HVX. The pelican cases that protect the RED could buy a few century lenses. I’ve never seen StayFit but I did film some clips for it. Typography is cool man. right?

Hey Christian I wasn’t necessarily directing my comments towards your videos and I guess i should have mentioned that before hand. I think the videos you’ve been doing have been fucking rad!!! I personally feel that wide angles are used too much and should be used sparingly. As far as post production is concerned I am mainly talking about color correction. Like I said before I was really commenting on videos in general. I enjoyed reading your perspective on filming and your thoughts on skate videos.

1. it shows a pic in the interview of him shooting with a panhead tripod you fuckin dolt
2. his century xtreme costs more than your life and it has a better resolution too.
3. what should he do in post production? add more film burns? i bet you jacked off to StayFit too.
4. omg you can’t read the font he used because he didn’t spend time in post to Kern the letters so your dyslexia is going to make your head explode!!!! maybe he should take some calligraphy classes to so he can make sure everything is so pleasing to your eyes.. would that help?

yeh i’ve been impressed so far by the videos he’s been producing. plus from what i saw on his vimeo page (test shots) looks that he has a Century Optics Xtreme Fisheye for HVX cams now. those things are so fuckin nice it will deff increase the quality of wideangle shots 10fold. they cost more than 90% of filmers in bmx haave invested in their camera! 2010 should be poppin for Mr Rigal
