Doing these top ten lists is kinda fun, but also really time consuming and annoying. And all you little shits can do is bitch that my criteria isn’t up to par in the comments. For the record, this is a list of my personal top 10 videos that were on the site for the first time in the month of September. Obviously some of the videos on this list came out a long time ago (namely the TWW and FUTU sections), but they’re still eligible as far as I’m concerned. Doing these lists is becoming more confusing too, since I’ve been doing less blogging and letting Cory handle a lot of the reviewing of submissions and stuff. So maybe some stuff is missing here, if that’s the case, feel free to interject in the comments. If that option still isn’t good enough for you, I can think of at least one big white dick currently located in Brooklyn that you can chow down on. Walk with me.
(Also, needless to say if you haven’t spent much time poring over my Top Ten Videos Of August 2009 post you should get on that too)
10. KTS – Fun In The Summer – This edit is just really, really fun. The kickflip to smith 180 made it a crucial addition to the list but even without that, it’s dope. So dope they had to follow it up with a leftovers edit, that was also nice.
9. We The People’s Interbike Teaser – I’m actually writing this list backwards instead of counting down, and I’m incredibly tired right now, so even though you just started reading this list, I’m almost done. Weird right? So yeah I can’t think of anything interesting to say about this edit except something like “it’s really good”. So there you go.
8. TCU Exclusive BMXFU FU3 Trailer – Really I’d like to rank this higher but I’m trying to be at least slightly impartial. This trailer is awesome, FU3 is going to be ridiculous and I heard Capone has the last section. I know it’s good because Dave Mirraco said so.
7. Joe Cox In Tomorrow We Work – TWW is one of the best videos of all time and Joe had one of the best parts. Don’t forget to check the other TWW sections that have dropped recently namely the friends section which I really enjoyed.
6. Tony Cardona In Costa Rica – This one is filmed real good, the riding’s awesome, it’s got an exotic selection of spots and just has a real good vibe. What more could you ask for?
5. Stoked On Being Blazed – Vancouver produces some amazing riders and has some incredible spots to ride. This edit seems to have impressed everyone who saw it and the production quality is top notch too.
4. Peg Leg/Dig Fall Edit – If you know me, you know I like 2 things; street riding and Slaughterhouse. This edit has both. Devin always comes through with fresh edits but this one stood out in particular to me and even made me want to go re-watch the Peg Leg East Coast edit that came out in January.
3. Eric Lichtenberger Sunday Web Video – Even if this edit only consisted of that upwards crankslide up there and the tire ride down the JP rails, it still would have had kids going ham. But all the other wild shit (the hand nothing to 360 and the last drop stand out) made it one of the best web videos I saw all month.
2. Charlie Crumlish In BMXFU’s “FUTU” – I’ve already written enough about this part, but the fact that it got 79 comments, almost all positive when it dropped speaks volumes. Charlie is on some next shit, and based on the footage he’s already sent me from his upcoming FU3 part, he’s not even close to done yet. If you know Charlie, you know that he probably wishes that firecracker up there was a big, black dick.
1. Rob Wise’s Volume Web Video – Yeah, I kinda wanted to give the number one spot to Charlie but I’ve done enough ranting and raving about how amazing his part is. Rob Wise blew everyone’s mind this month with this web video. It is probably most notable as being the web video where everyone got to see what that icepick grind from his Volume ad looked like, but to me the craziest clip might be that 180 he does at 1:03. That ledge is so big and long. It’s crazy that he hasn’t slowed down even slightly since his Left/Right section. The fact that these were clips Rob didn’t want to use for his upcoming Demolition part proves that he is not human and should be executed in the name of making every other BMXer feel better about themselves.
There are still a bunch of videos that deserve to get mentioned so here are a few more that I was feeling.
ODI – Blazin Afternoonz – ODI web videos are always good. This one has lots of Alex Raban, so it’s extra good.
Lee Dennis In BMXFU’s “FUTU” – How did Charlie get number 2 and Lee isn’t even officially on the list? Truthfully I just didn’t want to have 3 BMXFU edit’s in the top ten. This part is arguably better than Charlie’s, and either way it’s just amazing.
Josh Eilken In The Madera Video – The song doesn’t work with the riding and the whole laying on the ground whimpering thing is creepy, but this was still the best part in the Madera video and it’s just good in general.
Grant Castelluzzo ESPN Edit – This isn’t my favorite edit Grant’s ever had but it’s still good and deserves to be mentioned for that last clip alone.
David Grant Albes Edit – I should have found a way to work this into the top 10, but fuck it, it’s late. David really put in work for this edit and the end result is great.
