And just to get this out of the way, these are 5 of MY biggest inspirations. I know Mat Hoffman invented every trick. I know Ron Wilkerson is more important to BMX’s progression than fucking Ratboy. But from my perspective, having ridden BMX bikes for the last ~11 years, being from a shitty little New England town and only being interested in street, these are some dudes that I consider legends. U mad.

    not a bad top 5 except for ian schwartz. lou rajsich is so sick and i hadn’t even heard of him before today (i had seen photos of the roof gap). his style of dress is similar to james dean. anyway, you mean explicitly not implicitly in the first paragraph. your tattoos imply you were into really bad toughguy hardcore at some point.

    1.Rooftop (crooked grinds back in dirty deeds,along with unreal street riding in the early 90′s)
    2.Joe Rich from huge airs on 8ft wide 10ft front yard vert ramps,to huge backwards rails in 1998 to 14 foot airs on concrete quarterpipes, Joe Rich Is Bmx.
    3.Jay Miron for all the positive things he’s helped shape in the world of bike riding from the Metro Jams,to Inventing half the street tricks you kids sweat today.Plus he’s Canadian and beat up protown USA.
    4.Van Homan (no explaination needed) how many nora cups?
    5.Dave Parrick (no explaination needed again)

    Lou Rajsich is a badass. Good choice. Shit, all of the old PDXBMX/Blueprint/EBCo era was just awesome.

    Ratboy was also a good choice. As weird as he and his style were, you could tell he was having fun.

    not to bash on ralph, but you put him out there… 98% of what I just watched on that Props clip had already been done when Ralph did it, not just the tricks… but the spots, holy shit, the style!
