When people try and make up rules about BMX like what you can and can’t do or what they do is dumb and try and make it ‘law’.

worst thing about bmx? at the moment id say the close minded street only trend thats swept the nation. why? because mesh skate park cant even afford to stay open. one of the best parks in the county is dead now. so as the security guards and rail stoppers increas and all the street spots get put on lock down. we wont be going to mesh to ride hassel free original set ups. thanks new generation of bike riders. thank you so much.

are you people familiar with the term hypocrite? he was asked who he wanted to thank and he answered according to his perspective of the world. he is as entitled to that perspective as you are to your own. if you value your right to say what you want then you should respect the rights of others to do the same. disagreeing is fine but throwing a fit when people have a different outlook makes you look as backasswards as the fundamentalist religious folks that you like to rag on. grow up. it’s a big world and different people see things in different ways. and of all the riders who preach (and some of them certainly exist) nathan williams is not one of them. he believes what he believes and is honest when asked about it. get over it.
the worst thing in bmx is all of you nobodies talking shit on someone who is much greater than you. jeff, the new generation of bike riding has caused bmx to expand almost double, kids can now feel good about going and riding a local curb or their town instead of wasting all their money on a skatepark full of asshole kids who only want the world to notice them and their “crazy” personalities. the new generation of bmx is the best thing that ever happened. and sorry bud, mesh wasn’t a very good park either.
“much greater than you!” I like how you think hes better than everyone else. Loosing a skatepark sucks for everyone and you’ll find just as many assholes on the streets as you will at the park boyo. There would be no new generation if it weren’t for all those “crazy personalities” (e.g. theGonz, MatHoffman, LordVoelker, Dave Young, Ratboy, etc) that built freestyle in the first place. I’ll be suprised if your still riding bikes in 10yrs. You act like all the old guys should be thanking all the young kids for riding street or some shit when they’ve already been there. shits funny.
I think most of these “riders”who have commented and are commenting on these topics, should keep in mind what Nathan said….. Dont be so scene and upthight cool bmx-ers, thats so lame.

pretty sure the ‘rules’ and ‘laws’ he is talking about are on this site. that mass bmx show were they talk about the tricks and shit and how you should do them. but i would have to agree that those downward tuck no handers are 100% fuckin gay. do them properly & preferably on trails.
