    IS the Come Up Gay?

  • mf

    Really, is TCU gay?

  • TARK

In a homosexual way, no, never was. In the sense of it being stupid, I never really thought so. Others have, though…

  • MMMMCXXX

it’s not gay unless you come.

  • LUSCIOUS

    hahahahahhahah

  • http://Vinylbmx.com Tom arkus

That should keep the come up kids psyched. The come up being humilated on a cover of a bmx mag. That says a lot about what the bmx world thinks about this website.

  • davey

dude, i think its a joke

If it’s based off the San Fran trip, I like how the “respected” print magazine quickly became ignorant after they were targeted with their last issue.

  • BEN

THE “WITH” SHOULD BE THE OTHER WAY UP. SORT IT OUT!!!

  • adam

I wrote an article called “Is The Come Up Gay?” for the magazine. But yeah.

  • not you

The only thing that’s silly is your absurd assumption about what having that on the cover might mean. Especially since your opinion of “what the bmx world thinks about this website” is inside a magazine that has interviewed me multiple times and published numerous Come Up articles.

  • http://Vinylbmx.com Tom arkus

We’ll thats great for you that a couple of people asked you a few questions about the website. But you have something great going you don’t even realize it cause you hear more negative things from people like me. Just that one sentence on the cover made me think why the hell would some one even write that about their own website. There is more negative things said about this website then anywhere else. I know you have no control over it but you sure as hell encourages it the way you post certain things.

Taking others peopls content and then having it butchered by the kids that come to your site, it leaves many people un happy. They come here to get all the good news not to read shitty comments. IDK man I hope you relize that this website could be loved by everyone.

I’m not hating just voicing my opinion since everyone else has nothing really good to say on here. I’m just another rider that comes to this website and i hate seeing shit like that.

    Cheers.

  • harry

yer i agree with that jew

  • adam

The fact that you assume that the article is just about how this website is gay, is weird. Since it’s not true and nobody else has assumed that from the title so far. I could care less whether people get their feelings hurt by the site. Controlling the most powerful current media source in BMX is bound to make some people upset, and I think I have done a pretty good job of making it clear I absolutely don’t care.

    Dear Tom Arkus,

Cry me a fucking river. Who gives a shit what the “BMX world” or some magazine thinks of The Come Up and why does it matter so much to you? Obviously the site is fairly successful and has enough traffic and people who like to read the “shitty comments” to keep it running. Which brings me to my next point: If you don’t like shitty comments then don’t fucking read them, obviously you visit this site enough to know that they are there so how hard is it to just stop scrolling down? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure it takes less energy then continuing to scroll.

Now if other peoples content is being butchered by kids on this site, and the people who posted that content are getting upset about it, then maybe they should reconsider posting anything at all if they cry over a little criticism. The world is full of haters and if you can’t handle it then go cower silently, by yourself, in your own little corner. Honestly, what a bunch of fucking cry babies…

And last, but not least, when you ask “why the hell would someone write that about their own site?”, I say “don’t go in to marketing”… Bad press is better than no press, dude.

Well, thanks for inspiring me to write my first comment on The Come Up, it was fun and I think I may do it again sometime.

    Yours Truly,
    JARED
