Remembering The Draino.

Remember The Draino? Jamie Bestwick may be the best vert rider of all time but John Parker definitely earned his place in the BMX record books when he first pulled this monster of a trick. It’s so insanely difficult looking that it’s hard to imagine it could ever become anywhere close to consistent for even the best rider. As it stands, it’s only been done once and I doubt that will change anytime soon. Jared Souney wrote up an interesting article on The Draino, detailing when he shot a photo of John doing it for a Ride UK interview that never happened.

    Dude seriously if you can somehow get old ride archives(or if i can find and scan the issue) and post photo by photo from Jay Miron’s interview,especially the list of tricks he invented. The reason i say that is besides all the wild street moves he did before anyone like manuals to overgrinds, he did that boomerang air thing, it was like a 540 decade/tailwhip thing that he would do at max height not giving a fuck. His macneil part also needs to be watched when i get home.

    Man, I’ve been doing this trick in dave mirras freestyle bmx 2 for years. And if i recall correctly it was mike escamillas adrenaline trick in mat hoffmans pro bmx 2…..
