oh yeah rich, something really needs to be done about the quality. with the nightwolf, a fair few people complained about the weakness of the shoe. then the mikes came out. i thought that these issues would be addressed and i was silly enough to buy it. i then realised it was made of paper like material that ripped when ever a pedal pin scratched it. until lotek manages to make a good shoe, i am no longer a customer (which is a shame seeing as the mike was comfy as hell)

I have a few pairs of loteks, my nightwolfs are still going strong, as for my chase’s… well I dont wear em on the bike as i have my nightwolf’s… tried them once out back on the ramps but was more in favor of the regular sole style… but for comfort… I do love the chase… stick in an extra sole and they are awesome… and oddly enough… possibly the best shoe I have skated in too… I guess the skaters who told me the vulc soles were the best for a skate were right… but thats my opinion and now all you haters who think a pair of shoes should last 10 years can start your hating on me cause yes… I am a bmxr and I skate my ramps half of the time cause….. wait for it……….its fun… just like my little kids bike… fun…

I threw my white coastals in the wash and every stitch came out. Every piece of the shoe was flopping all over the place. The sole of the shoe stayed together though.

idk if I buy that, I put my white canvas coastals in the wash after riding them for 3 or so months and they came out brilliant, they’ve been workhorses for me. Did have some issues with the black and orange ones though, so who knows might just be the luck of the draw with individual pairs.

I think Rich seemed really cool on the defgrip interview. The only thing I think he is a little too relaxed about his responsiblities in the industry. If you and privledge to get paid to ride for a bike company you don’t edit the video for another.
