Last year I wrote up a Top 12 Video Parts Of 2010 list and while that was fun to write, I wanted to do something a little bit more all encompassing this year. So basically this list covers riders and companies who really made their presence known in BMX this year. These are all my personal opinion (the OSS team is, of course, over-represented even though that wasn’t intentional) but overall I think it presents a pretty good summary of all the awesome things that happened in BMX throughout the course of the past year. I did my best to not leave anyone deserving out but I’m sure there are some omissions so make sure to hit up the comments with your thoughts.

20) Fit: In 2009 Fit lost Chase Dehart, Dakota Roche, Chase Hawk, Trey Jones, Alex Kennedy and a few other well liked riders as well as their charismatic Cult leader. In 2010 they lost Edwin and Tom White and the Fit Trippin’ DVD series was mostly underwhelming. 2011 however, was the year that Fit got it together (and it didn’t hurt that Cult were relatively quiet compared to last year). They signed Shitty, snatched up Tom Duggan and bumped Ben Lewis up to Fit pro. They took a pretty epic Texas roadtrip that was also featured in The Albion. Their UK contingent took trips to Finland and Sweden that produced some of the most memorable roadtrip edits of the year. Mike Aitken continued his steady return to his past glory with his Killjoy section and that split web video with Dang Dang. Sure, the attempt to replace Robbie with Ben Ward only lasted a couple months before he was unceremoniously removed from the job, but especially with their next full length DVD in the works, it’s easy to imagine that Fit will be a lot higher on this list next year.
