2) The Albion: Ready? I’m just going to say it. There has never been a more popular BMX magazine in the history of freestyle BMX than The Albion. The articles are amazing. The interviews are so well done I have walked away from some of them feeling like I had a new perspective even when the subject was a person I already knew well. The design is phenomenal. Normally it’s zero dollar price tag would be a selling point but given how great the product is, it seems like an afterthought (I’m sure most people reading this, myself included, would agree the worst part about The Albion is the fact that it’s so damn hard to get in the States). The magazine’s content is controversial by nature, but aside from the Chad Kagy fiasco (in which they really did blow it) and turning Jamie Bestwick into public enemy #1 for a couple days, it’s been mostly smooth sailing. The magazine hasn’t been around long but I’ve never seen the BMX community respond to a magazine like we’ve seen here and that alone is pretty amazing in this day and age.
