12) Gabe Brooks: I can’t stress this enough: Gabe Brooks was in jail for 3 years up until late 2010 on attempted murder charges. The fact that he was able to accomplish all that he has this year coming out of such a shitty situation is unprecedented. He became a big part of the Kink team and put out this amazing section, got on Demolition and put out this split section with Matty Long, he went to Mexico, and Denver, he rode trails, he rode the skatepark, he even did one of the craziest superman’s ever out of an uprail. It’ll definitely be fascinating to see what happens to Gabe in the new year.
