i can’t believe that all this company does is actually design one part every five or six years and then add a new color every few months to keep selling it. the cranks suck, they break too easily, been the same way for, how many years now? i’m not saying get rid of the cranks totally, but jesus, design something new to add to the company, not just add another color. even the coloring they get wrong, had a mate of mine purchase a front wheel from the shop, liked it so much he ordered a rear in what he thought was the same color (green and green) the front was a beauty deep green like and the rear was a lime green color? it wasn’t even more than three months of purchasing the two apart and the colors were way off. for a company who has such a big name in the bmx industry you think they might actually try to make something of themselves, rather than just drive it into the ground. i order from companies who have little chinese children make my parts and yet they are better in matching, strength, and quality than this(ese) company(ies) who i assume hire blokes over the age of nine to work for them. i don’t mean to diss any company, but just because something gets a fresh coat of paint that does not make it new. profile racing, i thought at first, had a good idea with the branching out of the madera parts, but it’s just as bad if not worse. the seat clamp looks horrible with the all over print wrap and the logo milled in, choose one or the other. now i’m also coming from the side of where i pay for my bike myself and if something breaks i’m loosing money, not my parents like a lot of the younger fellas on here who talk their ‘crap’. but really, you would throw away all the parts you have just because a new color scheme is ‘cool’? if that’s the case grab a can of spray paint and paint your parts different colors, it would be less expensive than to purchase all new parts for a color. i respect any company that has lasted as long as they have in this industry, but step up fellas! start designing and making some new parts not colors! if you have your customers paying top money for your stuff, make it worth it. i bought me a hubset for the cost of what my mate paid for just the rear hub. if you want to bring out ‘new’ colors everyday, then do it just make it all match (i get some parts are different metal and cant be exact, but just a hubset at least). i think that the boys over there need to take a month off and redesign their company, maybe hire some 9 year old taiwanese children to help train the fellas in making a proper company with parts to stand behind. maybe they should look into getting a team that rides too? maybe it’s their teams that are giving them the feedback of ‘just change the color’? and if that’s it, then hire a rider who actually rides and then ask him to help design some parts that won’t break and don’t look like a acid trip gone very very wrong. maybe i’m totally wrong, they could very possibly have the 9 year old taiwanses children working there now and maybe they just like to make the new pretty colors instead of advancing and growing with new parts and new designs. alright, rant’s over, i had to get this bit off my chest too many posts of ‘new’ color cranks have been posted on tcu to be ignored.

wow, cant believe I read all that, my eyes are toast now. Excellent points man! I have used profile parts on and off in the past, swore by my cranks for years. Unfortunatly, they kept loosening up, so I replaced them with Redline Device ($130 CDN) and am NEVER looking back. I betcha the market got saturated with awesome parts from the competition, and profile had to find “new” ways to sell the stock they already had. Too bad, soo sad profile dropped out of the innoivation game.
