Odyssey Socket Drive System.

Odyssey put up some info about their new flatland specific “sprocket drive” set up. Basically it lets you run your sprocket without a sprocket bolt, much like the Tree sprocket lets you do with Profile cranks, but with the Twombolts. I’m not sure exactly why this is flatland only for the time being but it seems obvious that it will be reccomended for street at some point too.

    They lightened the arms up a bit. I’m sure they are just saving their own asses by recommending that it be used for flat only. It will be interesting to see if they come out with this interface on the regular twombolts in the future.

    I’m willing to bet it will be hard to get the sprocket on and then it will get wobbly. And then G will say the wobble is caused by an installation error.

    Damn hate much? I think any fresh idea is a good idea and in reality this isn’t a terrilbe concept, I wouldn;t mind seein odyssey adapt this to street/ park oreintated verison. id look fresh.

    its nice to see something new… but i completely understand and agree with “Bob Joblansky” i mean come on every kid and there new and upcoming cousin tat used to ride scooters at my locl park has wom/twobolts cause they look sick and have hella colors… i like alot wat odyssey has to offer but those cranks by far are one of bmx’s biggest failures…. literally every friend of mine that has ever had them BROKE.

    Probably will hold up about well enough to ride your bike from your garage to your front yard, take a picture of it on the lawn, ride back inside and post a bikecheck on BMXboard, just like most elementaries/wombolts are currently used.
