pivotal looks WAY much better in my opinion. But i dont think i like the look of this one with the laid back-ness to it…..the pivotal part should be more centered over the post as opposed to being behind it…would look much better

Man I’ve got a railed S&M and I dig it hardcore. I don’t see the problem, a bike parts a bike part. Why does it make a difference if it’s railed or pivotal? If people buy em then companies should continue making them.

man, i’d run a railed seat over a pivotal any day, pivotal’s just looks unnatural and now all the kids are going to read this and think it’s the truth.although the best option out there for me is the seat/seatpost combo and i guess that’s quite similar to pivotal seats, but somehow the angle is better

great idea, just looks a little weird with a seat actually on it. id probably get one for my single speed and switch up whatever the fuck i want on it depending on my mood

I got a railed seat. I dont enjoy having a dick nosed seat, thankyou. And I think odyssey would know a little more about seatpost sales than you. alot of people are cheap and wont fork out another 25 dollars for a new seat because they have to buy a new seatpost. or vice versa.

I was going through a box of old stuff at a bike shop I work at and found a seat post that doubles as a tire pump made by Odyssey back in the 80′s. It was meant for mountain bikes but it works and I thought it was a good idea, as long as you have a quick release seat post clamp.

I’ll never say anything bad to a person because they’re staying with railed seats. I do think they tend to bend easier and they look a little less clean, but the look isn’t a big deal. but this post is genius. I’m sure there’s plenty of kids that don’t buy frames because of built in pivotal posts, but not it doesn’t matter. Very nice.
