Profile’s 2010 Line.

Profile sent over a ton of info about all their new parts including their new hubs above. Check it all out after the jump.

In case you didn’t feel like going to the Interbike convention in Las Vegas, here’s the highlights of what we took out there this year. This isn’t all of it, but it should be enough to whet your appetite.

FREESTYLIN’

These as yet un-named hubs are the first major cosmetic revision we’ve made to our venerable Mini Hubs since their introduction. They are internally identicle. Same great performance, New clean look.

We rolled out the Chrome Moly Gun Drilled Hollow bottom bracket spindles about halfway through last year to great response. If people liked CrMo GDH, then they’re probably going to love Titanium GDH spindles. Also shown is our entry into the spline drive sprocket sweepstakes. Made from 7075 with a hardened CrMo insert, they are strong as well as light and enable you to run cranks with no sprocket bolt bosses. This prototype is a 25t, but expect us to have all the popular sizes when they hit retail.

Made in USA super hard 7075 Aluminum pegs. I like to say “Seven Oh Seven Five,” but Jack in the machine shop tells me I’m an idiot and you’re supposed to call it Seventy-Seventyfive. Either way, strong, light pegs in most of our anodized colors. This one is silver, obviously, but DeGroot has some fancy gold ones on his bike already.

Probably not quite as exciting, but equally usefull are the Profile 7075 Aluminum 3/8″ to 14mm axle converters.

Here’s another look at our latest limited edition Race Crank Colorway- Black with gold sparkles.
BMX RACIN’

A lot of exciting stuff for racing is dropping this year.

Outboard Bearings for Euro BB’s. These use a Spanish Bearing in an external BB cup for extra stiffness as well as a faster, smoother, more long lasting bearing.

For the shorter racers, the MicroMini line offers a complete drivetrain (except a chain, of course). First up is the MicroMini 28 hole hubset. Available with Titanium bolts, and either Ti or Aluminum drivers. Aluminum cogs available as well. 425g per set.

The MicroMini 1″ stem is available in 35 and 42mm lengths, and a bunch of colors.141g with Ti bolts

The MicroMini Aluminum race crankset is light. Full on ludicrously light. 354g light. Tubular Aluminum Arms (125, 135, 145mm) Hollow, fluted Ti spindle, and lightened 4 bolt spider. 70lb weight limit.

We’ve had this hub out for testing with one of the local Pro racer dudes. He loved it so much we had to hire a bounty hunter to get it back from him. We don’t have a name for this one yet, either. The driver has 204 points of engagement, while our current hub has only 48. The difference is dramatic. There is zero hesitation between the time when you think about accellerating and the bike starts shooting forward. Hold on tight.

LIterally everything here has been done before. Tree for the sprocket and pegs, and fly for that dumb euro bottom bracket.

  • http://Website wow

yeah, but profile refines everything. as for having wobble in your hub, you are prolly running an older version. the newer hubs have no play at all. profile can do no wrong.

  • http://Website Da

I personally think these hubs look older that the ones that are out now.

  • http://ayeeeeeeeeeeee 2stoned2ride22

WHAT THE FUUUCK THESE NEW HUBS LOOK FUCKING BAD!!!!
WHAT ABOUT THESE AMAZING SHAPES AND EVERYTHING???
THESE HUBS SHOULD BE AT LEAST 100$ CHEAPER THAN THE OLDER ONES!!!!!!!

  • http://Website chattanoogabmx

Damn i feel the same way as you. these hubs look sooooooo generic. at least before profiles had a big bling factor, now you will just have uglier hubs with the same shit wobble. at least the sprocket looks good.

  • http://Website Gangsta Wobble

I love Profile parts, but the I have had a set of old Profile hubs, and a set of new ones and they have both had wobble probs. With the new ones I put a shim in it per the instructions on Profile’s website. Now no slop, but the hub doesn’t roll nearly as good as it used to. For the cash we pay for those hubs they should be perfect for at least a couple years.

  • http://Website baajes

the driver and stem deffo look interesting.

  • http://Website bagjer

omg the new hubs look so shit ! one of the main things that made me buy minis in the first place was the way they look ! im so dissapointed :(

  • http://Website Steve

So you shell out more money for a profile hub than basically any other hub out right now, and then they send you shims when it isn’t made up to specification?

  • http://Website Jeromy D

They all look clean and as for the comment about micro mini is made for rider on mini bmx bike lol hence the name micro mini and ive seen them in person and they are good and tere is no wobble also you are saving weight with the new hubs.

  • http://Website jesus

tree never approved that shit. promise you that.

  • http://Website Mikk

they may be better but they are so ugly, i wouldnt pay 200 dollars for it , so i hope the old models will be on sale . and making of the old ones will be stopped am i right ?

  • http://Website Socal805

The 204 engagement profile hub coming with a 9 tooth driver???? how much for the hub??

  • http://Website Kevin

i personaly think the new hubs look like shit
the old hub shells where way better
this just looks the same as ever other back hub now
better off buying a we the people supreme back hub or something

  • http://Website billy r-w

well atleast they redisgned the allumanum cone spacer and taken that dam rubber o-ring out so you dont have to worry about that for a long while nut i wonder if they switch the axle in the race hubs to 7075 but i was told by one of the guys at bluesixbikes.com that their working on a profile ti center axle
