Someone sent me a T shirt that says “stop the sliders” with a crude drawing of Lil Wayne doing the trick. The execution leaves a bit to be desired but the idea is so bizarre I figured it’s worth a post. Check it after the jump.

Ever since the beginning of bmx and it was done in the movie RAD after that, sliders have been cool. Always will be. Always will be a part of BMX. It’s not some kind of trend or hot new trick. Trying to stop sliders would be like trying to say the 20 inch wheel is played out because everyone should ride 18 inch wheels or something dumb like that…

Sliders are cool if Karl Poynter is doing them long distances, or if they’re done in a difficult manner (Jeff K. does some cool icepick to over fakie stuff in his split UGP edit with KP). However kids doing long exaggerated sliders is as lame as people acting like motowhips are a trick now.
I wouldn’t say to much about moto’s cause I seeen some riders do some fat nasty moto’s.. Matter of fact a video was posted up just the other day of a kid motoin a box and it was one of the best lookin tricks in the video.. Don’t get me wrong its not a hard trick but some can make it looook good.. (Chase H)
