Volume Re-issuing The Hellion.

Volume are re-issuing the Hellion frame to celebrate their tenth anniversary. To be honest, the Volume Destroyer was my first legit BMX frame so I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for those old Volume frames. I saw this on their new Twitter BTW.

    hellion was pretty bad ass back in the day but times have changed and better rider owned companies are finally out making better shit. plus brian castillo is a goober and my friend ordered a dinosaur from trend mail order and the rear triangle was welded crooked and volume bikes wouldnt send him a new one because they said “it wasnt crooked enough to be warrantied”

    hellion’s were awesome until my downtube cracked. it was first generation though. they have to be better by now.

    we need the original hellion colors. black, navy, and red. my first real bmx frame was a black volume hellion. that thing was tits, i would for sure get a new one BUT only if it came with a 21 in. TT and in black.

    PS. lets get the original stickers thrown in there too.

    THE ORIGINAL DESIGN WAS MY FIRST LEGIT BMX FRAME. I SCOOPED ICE CREAM FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER OF 2001 TO SAVE UP AND GET IT ON DANS. THEN, ON OCT. 8TH, I WENT TO THE LIBRARY LEFT THE BRAND NEW ROYAL BLUE COMPLETE BY THE MAIN ENTRANCE. ONE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY SECONDS LATER, THE HELLION DISAPPEARS. PRETTY F-ING SAD IF YOU ASK ME. LATE.

    How is this a Hellion? All it shares is the geometry. I don’t think it was the geo that sold them in the first place, just that they were dirt cheap and no frills. lame. I had one back then but there are a million frames that are better now. Why not spend the time and effort making something useful that I would actually want to buy. I used to like volume and ever since the destroyer things have sucked over there imho. Castillo and Enns rule but the product sucks.
