I hate this little niche I’ve dug out in the BMX industry. There’s this whole code of silence where everyone knows weeks or months ahead of time about who’s riding for who, who quit riding for who, etc. but everyone keeps it on the low. I hate that shit. For instance Ardelean Emailed me a week or two before the news broke that Taj was riding for Giant and basically said “this is what’s going on, but please don’t post anything for the next two weeks”. I was so bummed. There I was sitting on the most controversial BMX sponsor change of all time (anyone care to challenge that statement?) and I wasn’t supposed to say anything. I think I leaked it a few days before I was supposed to and I had some stupid back up excuse I was going to tell Mike if he was bummed, but he didn’t care.

As much as I would like to consider myself a superhero of BMX media who defies all that and just posts shit that I know is true, I end up getting sucked into it because I don’t want to piss off people that I’m friends with. So yeah. Big KQP news coming within 48 hours that I know the details of but am not supposed to post.

    Adam, I’d say Taj off T1 isn’t controversial at all. Of course there was a lot of talk but it was just a decision Taj made. It was on good terms. Corey Martinez getting kicked off Primo after 4 and a half years is pretty bad. Then Nathan and Dakota leaving Primo after that is pretty crazy aswell.

    I think that vaguely mentioning a sponsor change of some sort is probably just as bad as outright saying what he did, so you may as well have just come out with the news rather than announcing it like that. Oh, and if he really did leave sunday for eastern then that’s about as bad as JJ going to mongoose.

    not at all. the way he did it, you dont know if it’s related to sunday, if he got a new sponsor, sold off his half of hardcoresportz, could be anything. could be on gatorade. could quit riding to feed the homeless like devlin.

    The Aaron Ross off FBM to Sunday was talked about for months with hundreds of board posts so anyone saying no one cares is completely wrong. This may not be true for Karl Poynter though. He’s not as big time as A. Ross.

    this forum is good because of the vids, you dont have to search the newest parts from smaller riders like blackman, am:pm etc on youtube because everyone sends there vids to adam22 but to get your stuff posted you actually need to know adam22. he is i guessed biased with stuff since he changes his character to fit to the people around him. he is not a “real” genuine person more of a character to fit in to the people around him.
    adam22 believe it or not can create or destroy a trend if he put his mind to it. if he wanted to make crankflips hot, all he needs to do is post a vid of some pros doing crankflips and everyone will be crankflipping
