yeah well, we’re not aloud to ride street either, cause it’s always constantly dealing with cops, no matter what, no matter if you’re at a spot where you shouldn’t be and it’s trespassing or if it’s just a spot that you just like to ride at or find to ride, we’re not wanted anywhere to ride. not aloud in parks, not aloud to ride. and it’s funny dealing with people and even cops that always say, oh you guys should have places built to ride and this in that, and in the end we still get nothing, still get harassed, and still get fucked over in the end. people do drugs, and vandalism occurs, and the biggest concern will still always be kids trying to have fun on their bikes and stay out of trouble (for the most part)

ps: you know if we get enough signatures they HAVE to let us in right? these skate park rules aren’t set in stone for the rest of time. i think the problem is these west coast companies are getting the contracts to build these parks and they always stack the deck against the bikers. when they were planning the pier 62 park they took signatures from people who didn’t want bikes in the park. where did they gather the signatures? at a fucking park that doesn’t allow bikes, wow that was a fucking fair petition wasn’t it?!!

the skaters are just more organized than us. if we had a group of dudes based in nyc that was ALWAYS applying pressure to the park department to make places for bikes i guaranty all these parks would allow bikes. these skaters organize and get parks planned before the bmxers even know what the fuck is going on. we need as close a relationship with the parks department as the skaters do.
