Niki Croft has left the Mutiny team. After the jump check out a tribute edit with a bunch of footage of Niki and Niki’s official statement about the sponsor change. Anyone know where Niki’s going to end up? He’s way too good to go sponsor-less for long. I heard a rumor but I’ll keep it to myself for now.
“So here it is the time has come to move on and do my own thing for a while. Without acknowledging it, change is always in the air and the future, no matter what we say or do you can’t prevent change and that’s what this is about more than anything.
As simple as it gets, there’s no fall outs, no bad attitude, no demands, no pressure. Just straight up ‘Mutiny’ is heading in a direction that I don’t feel is me, as in image.
Gaz has been there since I was young ya know, been like an older brother to me, on and off a bike. Whether I’ve needed a place to stay, food or just someone to listen to my problems, he has been there for me. Thank you! Which is why this is so hard to do, its definitely more like leaving a family than a team, which is what ‘Mutiny’ has been about; full on bro down!
If kids wanna bitch about this on the come up or any other site, then please do but what you have here is mine and Gaz’s point of view and we are saying it how it is. There doesn’t have to be problems, money, issues for someone to make a decision in BMX, I’m simply writing this to show my appreciation to Gaz and every one at ‘Mutiny’
‘Mutiny’ has given me the best opportunities to ride my bike and meet some of the greatest people, for example hanging out with Morgan in Canada through too riding street with Little Hunter around Austin. It has been such a pleasure to meet and hang out with every single one of you.
Roey, little Robbo, Josh, Ryan, Joe, Justin, Hanson(you’re my hero), Randy, George, Morgan(the biggest man in bmx) Aron H, Empire BMX, Walter, Taj (thanks for letting me ride the ramp in ’07 it was incredible), Danny, Aaron….I really can’t remember many more, there’s too many.
I’ll still wear ‘Mutiny’ tees, this ain’t war, its BMX and I wanna support my friend. Seriously Gaz, thanks for looking out for me and being there I hope I’ve done a good job showing what ‘Mutiny’ is about whilst been on the team and I am thankful for all the trips and involvement with something so great. Best of luck with the future, i got to go do my own thing for a while. MUTINY, MUTINY!”-Niki Croft
