Just got an email from someone at Premium linking to a post on their site that seemingly attacks Fit’s street cred. I’m a little confused (primarily because Premium’s website being used to diss another bike company seems a little out of character) and headed out the door, so I guess I’ll just have to let the comments do the talking on this one:
“I’m sure you guys know what a Penny Saver is? PennySaverUSA.com? Penny saver has all kinds of great deals. Why pay so much for cable when you can use Digicon Satellite and get 120 channels for just $19.99 a month? Need to get your car serviced? Penny Saver has coupons for tire rotations and oil changes at Discount Auto Service. Short on funds? No worries cause Farmer Boys in Temecula has you covered with a free cheeseburger coupon. Stater Bros offers great specials in the Penny Saver as well. You can get butter, Rice-A-Roni, Farmer John Pork Links, and many more great deals all starting at just $0.99. All jokes aside though, If you want to ride or die then Penny Saver is your go-to for the #1 Fit Bike Co. dealer. If that isn’t core, I don’t know what is.”
Email has been sent to Chris Moeller asking what he thinks of this.
Update: A conversation:
Me: Chris, what do you think of this? I’m a little confused.
Moeller: A bike shop that sells FIT put an ad in a newspaper. Does that really confuse you?
Me: Not really, the fact that Premium seems offended by it confuses me.
Moeller: He’s probably just taking a break from working on Haro’s 2011 Freestyle Fixie line, I don’t blame him.
Me: Haha, I like that quote. On the record?
Moeller: On the record!
