So here we have 2 men who have proudly defied age old traditions and likely struggled growing up, strongly persecuted by society. Now they have reached their “victory” in marriage. These men aren’t going to push at the very least the pride of homosexuality on the child? That doesn’t predispose them to exploring alternative sexualities?

Homosexuals looking to have a family and adopt a child are doing it more for themselves than for the child. It validates their struggle and makes them think they are just as good as a healthy hetero family. They are stuck fighting a confused battle with themselves to the day they die and they will foster that same confusion in any children they raise.
All the while, kids in normal functioning hetero families often never even have that inner struggle and can go on to other more important issues of the psyche.

Many minority groups are able to blame their unhappiness and dissatisfaction on their supposed oppressors. I think gays think that once they can be “man and wife” and “have a child” all their issues will be resolved. I think they are going to find that there is still a void. They are at best playing house, and will never have the joy of raising a child that is the biological manifestation of man/woman love.

First off same sex couples already exist and already do adopt or artificially inseminate to obtain kids. So you have a kid already in the situation regardless of marriage or not. A pro argument for marriage is that when your kid gets made fun and comes back to the parents for reassurance, them being married could help comfort his pain. Them not being married could put the idea in the child’s head that maybe that bully was right since not even our government accepts it. Secondly more than half the arguments against same sex marriage on here are actually anti-homosexuality arguments.
