Animal has announced the addition of Oba Stanley to their pro team. Oba has been repping Animal for years and anyone who knows him knows he is a great guy, so it’s real good to hear that he’s moving up in this crazy BMX world. This also brings Animal’s pro team up to a whopping 15 dudes, which doesn’t even include guys like Ratkid and Garrett Hoogerhyde who you’ve gotta assume will have full sections in the upcoming DVD.
You can always count on Animal to put out dope posters. Their new joint features Wiz and you can see it in full after the jump, or get one in your next order from the Animal online store. Continue reading New Animal Poster. >
Little behind the scenes look at the Animal warehouse. Lots of talk about Animal’s cut-n-sew line and how BMX companies making legit apparel will just help BMX grow. I’m in total agreement. If anything, Animal doing so well is just proof that BMX companies can only really thrive when their creative direction is in the hands of people who actually understand BMX (the opposite can be proven by any number of brands that have fallen off and/or disappeared over the past 10 years).
Animal are re-issuing their classic topload stem:
“To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we are re-releasing our first stem. This run of the top load is limited to 300 pieces. It’s exactly the same as the original stem but with updated engraving and comes with a flower pot sticker, which is the first ever animal sticker. These are made in the USA and available for pre-order through our online store. They will ship between 01.20.10 and 01.23.10. “
On the subject, when are we going to see another Animal video trailer? The last one was 8 fucking months ago!
“Omar at Animal had a little birthday party at the Animal warehouse back in October. This is a little edit that was filmed the day of the party. It was originally supposed to run as an exclusive on a unnamed website but was rejected due to the graffiti on the ramps. The idea behind this edit was to have the camera moving in each shot, without a dolly or steadicam.

Over here at The Come Up, we embrace HIV positive bike riders… just saying.
I thought this shit was never coming out. They were prototyping a version that had a split faceplate for a while and this one doesn’t have it, but either way it’s an updated version of the classic stem, check out the colors and details here.
Riding around with no drivetrain must be pretty annoying if your trying to keep up with your friends pedaling around a city. This guy seems to have written the book on being awesome with no pedaling involved.
