Robbie Morales shows you where all Cult business is handled; the Cult Clubhouse. He also talks about some interesting little details you may not know about on a few products, and explains the thought behind everything from the packaging to the product design. It rounds out with some serious shredding on some ramps they keep in the back from Dakota and friends.
Besides Trey Jones’ never ending thirst for Dr. Pepper, I have no idea what connection Cult and Dr. Pepper have. Pretty interesting that Cult is getting mainstream coverage from the likes of Complex.com though.
No surprise here, the riding in this is amazing. And I suppose you gotta give them credit for trying to use a song that you wouldn’t expect for a video part, but if you ask me, it just doesn’t work.
This really kind of draws attention to exactly how ridiculous the G Sport team is now after all the recent additions. Van Homan, Dakota Roche, Andrew Jackson, Dave Thompson and Randy Brown all kill it in this little number.
Here’s another Free Lunch segment with Dakota. Interesting things he covers include Chris Cole (I don’t think it was ever publicly stated that Chris Cole is co-owner of Cult, in fact Robbie said that his involvement was “more on a friendship level” in his TCU interview). He also mentions that he wasn’t stoked on his recent signature Lotek’s (causing him to quit for Vans) because he didn’t have any input and that it was supposed to be Ian Schwartz’s signature shoe prior to Ian quitting riding to play Farmville.
UPDATE: Rich responds on Formspring:
I can kind of see both sides, but dissing your signature product right after it has shipped, even after you left the team, is like “how not to quit a sponsor 101″.
