Edwin & Tom White’s Fit Life Part.

Is that a gang? That’s an organization.

Edwin Delarosa & Tom White Leave Fit.

by adam on 07/19/10

I’ve been waiting 2 years to announce this shit. Edwin and Tom White have left Fit. If you haven’t been living under a rock lately, you’ve probably heard that they will both be riding for Skavenger, Animal’s new frame line.

Check out a retrospective of Ed’s time on Fit with lots of great classic photos and some words from his former teammates on Fit.

RUMORS:
If you look at the Animal team you’ll notice that most of them have left their sponsors over the past few years (Tyrone left Rideline, Scerbo quit S&M, Vinnie got the boot from Sunday, Lino quit 2Hip etc) so it’s pretty easy to see who most of the Skavenger team will be. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone else who has an existing frame sponsor leaves to ride for Skavenger and if any younger dudes end up on the official team.

Also, I’ve heard Lino and Butcher will have signature frames but that’s far from confirmed.

Joyride 2010 Flier.

by adam on 06/16/10

Here’s a flier for this Bicycle Film Festival art show that my buddy Brian Barnhart has stuff in. Look closely at the list of names and you’ll see that someone else you wouldn’t expect to be submitting photos has stuff being shown too; Edwin Delarosa.

Check this full size here.

New Flange-less Edwin Grips.

by adam on 06/09/10

Here’s a shot of the new flange-less Edwin grips as seen on 4Down. In case your computer is running slow or something, imagine Edwin grips but… without flanges. It may seem like a silly thing to make an entire new grip mold just to remove the flange, but when your signature grip is as monstrously popular as these things, who cares.

Life And Times: Edwin Delarosa

by MikeM on 03/30/10

A documentarian/video producer named Lazlo put together this little piece on Edwin. It pretty much goes without saying that Edwin has been one of the biggest influences of modern day street riding as a whole, and countless kid’s favorite bike rider. Check out Ed’s story along with some footage from a few of his local NYC spots.

Edwin On The Cover Of “Loop”.

Check out Edwin getting a split cover with some fixie kid. Not sure what the magazine is all about, but the photo was taken outside of his shop, Post, which recently relocated to Bushwick about 2 minutes from my apartment. What’s funny about this is that he now has as many fixie magazine covers as he does BMX magazine covers. He made his first solo magazine cover appearance in that issue of Ride doing a hop truck on the moon, although technically he had a split non-riding Dig cover with Tom White once too.

Some of you young cats might want to see this Twitpic I took of Ed’s first magazine photo while I was at my Mom’s house last week back in 2000 too, 270 X-up FTW.

Via Prolly where you can probably figure out some more info about this if you’re interested.

Fit Barcelona Video.

by adam on 11/05/09

Joe Cookie uploaded this and sent it over. Very glad to see it, it’s been a while. Check the rest of the sections after the jump. Aitken and Vic Ayala kill it the hardest in my book but everyone delivered.
