I’ve always felt like it was just a matter of time until Pat Casey ended up on Haro. It seems that day has finally come. Maybe Haro was listening to this girl. Check out the press release after the jump and congrats Pat, you deserve it!

Vista, CA. Haro Bicycles announces the addition of Pat Casey as the newest member of
Team Haro for 2012.
“The idea of adding an individual like Pat to our team has been floating around for some
time,” said Joe Hawk, Haro’s COO. “A lot of attention has been paid to building and
maintaining the right balance of talent and chemistry for Team Haro in the recent years and
Pat was chosen because he has the ability to contribute to our efforts on both levels”.
Colin Mackay, Haro team rider and Team Manager agrees; “I’ve been watching Pat kill it at
contests for the past couple of years. He has proven to be influential already in the game
reinventing the 360 tail whip and recently landing the first double decade. Aside from the big
moves, Pat is a genuine kid who is just happy to be riding his bike and is a welcome addition to
the Haro Bikes family”.
Ryan Nyquist-Haro team rider for more than 14 years added, “I think it’s awesome! Pat is a
young rider who is crushing it right now, and really pushing the progression of ramp riding. I
think he’ll fit in nicely with the rest of the Haro family, and I can’t wait to go on some trips
with him and get to know him better”.
Pat, who turned Pro in 2010 and earned the Ballpark Rookie of the Year honors during the
Dew Action Sports Tour in 2011 shares his appreciation for his past bike sponsor and his
enthusiasm for his future on Haro.
“First I’d like to send out a major thanks to Brian Castillo and everyone over at Volume. I’ve
been with them for over 3 years and they were one of the first companies to give me a chance
and for that I am extremely thankful-thanks Brian for everything!” Said Casey.
“As for my future, being a part of the Haro Team is a dream come true. I am super stoked to
be invited onto the team, a team that’s amazing and I look forward to riding with everyone on
it. Thanks for the opportunity, its going to be sick!!!” added Pat.

The Haro team, consisting of Ryan Nyquist, Colin Mackay and Dan Foley (who is actually on Premium) session the Vans skatepark in California.

Allan will no longer be working at Haro or riding for them. Check the press release after the jump.

Allan Cooke has resigned his position as BMX Brand Manager, a position he has held at Haro for nearly three years. “During this time, Allan has led a team that has significantly changed the face of Haro BMX and pointed it back in the direction of its creative roots,” said Joe Hawk, Haro’s COO.

Allan has decided to take a job with a leading manufacturer of helmets located in his native Northern California and assuming the duties of Sports Marketing and Events Coordinator. Allan’s last day at Haro will be Wednesday, April 4th.

“He shares some of the same qualities as Haro’s founder Bob Haro-love of the sport, strong work ethic, and making great product ridden by the world’s best athletes. We will miss him but we are appreciative of the care and direction he’s given the brand during his tenure at Haro,” added Hawk.

“I can’t thank everyone at Haro enough for making the

transition from full time athlete to full time worker a smooth and enjoyable one,” said Cooke. “I truly believe that nowhere else could I have learned as much as I have over the last 3 years and without each and every one that has their hands on all that is Haro. It wasn’t an easy decision to leave, I care so much for the work that we all have done together and there are many things I will miss that come with being a part of this brand however you only get one chance at life and this new opportunity wasn’t one that I was willing to pass up,” Cooke added.

“Haro is carefully looking at potential candidates capable of managing the growth of the iconic brand and continuing its leadership position in BMX for years to come. Our goal is to fill the position within the next 45 days in order to properly prepare for the launch of the 2013 model year,” said Hawk

Due to a serious hand injury last year, Ryan Nyquist has had a lot of time off of his bike recently. Upon his return, he decided to try something new, and took his brakes off. Here’s a session that Ryan had on the Haro ramps in San Diego, sans stoppers.

“Seth Klinger is an absolute beast on a bike whether it be Street, Ramp or Dirt. Unfortunately a pretty big injury held him back in 2011. He’s currently riding and living in Austin, TX getting his skills back and we can’t wait to see Seth kill it again.“- Haro

“The ‘How-To’ video is no where near a new concept. There has been a how-to do almost everything imaginable. Most are long, drawn out videos, more boring to watch than insightful and inspiring. So we decided to take the ‘How-To’ back it’s simplest form. One rider, doing one trick, documented the best way possible. So enjoy as Ronnie Napolitan enlightens you on the fundamentals of how to execute a proper flat ground barspin. Take this new found perfection and go outside, learn something new and have some fun riding your bike.“- Haro

The Haro team (Colin Mackay, Nyquist and Allan Cooke) went to Israel to do some demo’s. There’s a bunch of b roll in here of them checking out the area and it’s pretty cool. Also it’s awesome how steezy Colin is after all these years, he’s one of the best dudes to watch ride skateparks. After the jump watch a hilariously edited news segment in which Nyquist switches clothes with an Israeli reporter and hits some jumps.

Ryan Nyquist, Allan Cooke, and Colin Mackay were in Israel to put on some demos, and the nightly news crew from a Tel Aviv station came out and did a segment on them. Ryan Nyquist made sure that he didn’t answer a single question seriously. Pretty funny.
