Nice quick couple of minutes with Harry Main. Harry touches on topics like riding to reggae music, getting tattoos, and living the BMX dream, with lots of riding thrown in for you to enjoy.

Filmed before his injury, here Harry Main shows you how to barspin footjam while Alistair Whitton gives him a hard time. At the end Ali gives his thoughts on why Harry and himself aren’t really playing the same sport and shouldn’t be judged together. I laughed.

Vital got a Q&A done with Harry Main where he talks about his recent injury, and perhaps more interestingly, his drop in flair:

“Anyway, back to the flair drop in. How long has that been in the works for?

Two days before I posted the video up. I’ve messed about for a few months now doing bunnyhop flairs into the foam pit, but like two days before the video I just decided to do it for real.

What do you think – are we ever going to see this trick in a contest, or is it too hard?

No. It wouldn’t be too hard to get dialed. I mean, why not?”

That’s the attitude. I’ve noticed a few people on Twitter wonder out loud which is crazier, Harry’s drop in flip or Craig Mast’s 180 flip off that curb. According to the Youtube views, the only logical standard by which one can judge bike tricks, Harry’s dominating with 145,000 views to Craig’s 90,000 (for the record, those are both unbelievably high for such new videos) although it’s not really a fair comparison since Craig’s video went live almost 2 full days after Harry’s.  When Youtube views fail us though, we are forced to go by the next highest standard by which we can judge greatness: TCU comment totals in which Craig is currently besting Harry with 86 to Harry’s 44.

Harry just hit me up on Facebook to tell me about an unfortunate accident:

“Ladies and gentlemen of the bmx comunity.. Last night I pulled a 720 doublewhip over the resi and pulled it clean, got hyped and tryed another and dislocated my ankle and broke my foot.. Just got surgery last night 2 hours after it happened thanks to jamie Bestwick making some calls, two doctors turned up knocked me out and screwed me back up, clean break if everything goes well I will be back riding in 6 weeks! I will flair bunnyhop off my bed when I’m good and ready.. So yet another 6 weeks driving myself crazy.. “

This, of course, comes on the heels of Harry pulling that unreal bunnyhop flair. Hopefully Harry is back riding ASAP.

Wow. Harry is out of his mind. Dave Mirra kinda pioneered this trick by doing it off of a ~10 foot sub box back a few years ago (you can kinda see it here), but this is completely different and out of hand.

And I know it’s not really a flair since he only spins 90 degrees but Harry called it a flair in the Youtube description so I’ll let him call it how he sees it. Jus
