New Metal edit of Burns killing it as usual. This guy must be sitting on an insane amount of footage right now since we know his Bone Deth part is done and his Anthem 2 part has been either done or 95% done for months now. Also interestingly Burns does some stuff I don’t think we’ve ever seen him do on film before like a manual 180 and a double peg 180. I’m an unabashed Burns fan so I’m real excited to see his video parts this year.
This part is real good. But I really can’t wait til Albie’s Off The Map 2 part shows up online so you can all see his epic Prudential set 3, followed by the most hilarious/brutal pedestrian crash you’ll see this year.
This part rules and produced “that clip” of the black guy getting his head smacked by Burns’ back wheel. Before you go calling him a dick, read his side of the story and realize that he and the guy are on totally good terms now and hang out all the time.
Honestly like a year ago I emailed someone about doing a TCU shirt with my cat wearing an astronaut costume. The fact that someone at Metal apparently had the same idea is definitely bizarre, but I guess great minds think alike. Check out another new design after the jump and check out 10 more designs we posted the other day here. Continue reading New Metal Shirts. >
Burns mentioned a few Metal team changes in his Q&A thread that I thought were interesting, namely that Caleb Kilby isn’t really riding for Metal anymore since he’s going to school full time, and that Ross Tanner isn’t really riding at all anymore. In Burns’ words:
“Caleb is doing school full time, and focusing on other things aside from bmx at the moment. so hes sort of taking a break from the ‘profesional’ side of bmx. knowing were starting a new metal video late this summer, he doesnt think he ll have any time at all to produce a part or represent metal.
Ross, doesnt really ride anymore. And hasnt for awhile, hes still a good friend to metal though.”
I couldn’t find anything from Ross online but you can check out a web edit Caleb did for United when he was riding for them here, plus another web video here. Hopefully he’s got more video parts left in him because that dude’s sick.
Rob Castle is riding for Odessa. But really I just wanted to post this so I could use this ridiculous photo that was up on Metal. Check out a sneak preview of one of the new Metal shirts on Jimmy Levan after the jump too. Continue reading Rob Castle On Odessa + New Metal Shirt. >
Sean Burns just put up photos of the new Metal prototype frames (that are being made through We The People ever since Metal split off from S&M, which you can read more about here) as well as their new 8.3″ rise bars.
