This one features riding from Joe Cox, Mike Taylor, Scott Ditchburn, Chris Lee, James
Newrick, Joe Nicholson, Tom Kirkby, Pete Greaves, Ricky Abrams, Cookie
and Scott Taylor. How Ditchburn does those double peg to hard 3’s so good is beyond me. Continue reading Charlie Don’t Surf: Third Section >
I was hyped when I saw that Mike Taylor got the cover of Ride UK. Well now we have some insight into how exactly it went down courtesy of this interview. What he doesn’t mention in the interview but has confided in me secretly is that that’s not snow, that’s pure Warrington cocaine lining the ground. If you just need more Jersey, go watch the Odyssey Ride To Glory section.
When Mike Taylor was in the states over the Summer I interviewed him on camera (we still haven’t put the interview online) and asked him “Ride UK or Dig?” and he said “Dig, I’ve been pro for 10 years and haven’t got a Ride UK cover yet!” or something along those lines (it sounds funnier with his accent). Well he doesn’t have such an easy decision anymore since he just got the cover of Ride UK doing an overgrind in the snow with a ridiculous hat on. Super proud of Jersey still killing it.
It appears that Mike Taylor, Tommy Gun and Nailz AKA Gary Nailer have found created an indoor spot to ride within the dark confines of the concrete jungle known as Wazza. Here’s their first edit from the spot.
This one was my favorite… Aaron Ross, Mike Taylor, Joe Cox and Jim C equal the most star studded line up. Jim C took an egg to the face (pause) for this section, show some respect.
Check out the rider list for this one and you know it’s going to be good. I, for one, am excited:
“Scott Ditchburn, Ben Lewis, Dan Lacey, Mike Taylor, Bengo, Fooman, Millsy, Cookie, Nailz, Tommy Gunn, Phil De Mattia and Ben Gerrish.”
I just snagged some exclusive shots of Mike Taylor AKA The Pride Of Warrington’s new signature frame coming out through BSD. It’s called “The WZA” from what I can tell and features manly geometry plus a lifetime warranty against fish ‘n’ chips related defects. More after the jump including a couple of Mike and I getting gay in London together last week. Continue reading TCU Exclusive: Mike Taylor’s New Signature BSD Frame. >
So what we’ve got here is… a lot. First off, we’ve got the new Ride UK cover which you can check out in full after the jump. Also we have some shots of random pages from the magazine here. Then we’ve also got 60 second trailers for the web videos that all the teams on the Ride To Glory trip put together (you have to actually buy the magazine, which comes with a DVD, to watch the full videos). Then we’ve also got a link so that you can vote on who you think should win the thing.
However I must say, the logic of this confuses me. Does Ride UK assume that kids are going to go buy the magazine, watch the videos and THEN vote? First off, we all know that most of the kids reading this right now will never even see said magazine or the videos (until, inevitably, they pop up on Vimeo in a few months), and I somehow doubt that the honor system is going to work here; kids are just going to vote for whatever team they like best and that’s that. Personally I got bored after about 2 of the videos, but Aaron Ross almost pulls an amazing rail ride to truckdriver in the Odyssey one.
