Ryan Smith Steps Down From Mutiny Pro.

Ryan Smith has stepped down from the Mutiny pro team:
“My time at Mutiny over the past three years has been nothing but good times and good friends. Back when Joe and Gaz asked me to be a part of the team, I felt like I was beginning to live out my dream as a young BMXer. I had the chance to ride for a rider-owned company based out of Austin, my hometown and the place where my passion for riding bikes was born. It also allowed me the chance to travel to places I otherwise would have never gotten to go to creating amazing friendships along the way. Although I Still love my BMX bike with the same feverish passion that I had as a six year old, I have decided to take a hiatus from the pro team and focus on some of my other developing interests as a person. I will still continue to be a member of the Mutiny family and represent them to the best of my abilities. It has been an amazing journey, and I know that it will continue to be in the future. Thank you to anybody that has helped or inspired me along the way!”

It’s been a long time coming for a Joe Simon produced Mutiny edit, but here we have one featuring Matt Roe, Robbo and Mikey Luplow riding for a day around Austin. Came out awesome.

Gaz Sanders Interview.

There’s an interview with Gaz of Mutiny up on Fuel where he talks all about the company. I’m mostly concerned with when we’ll get to see another DVD:
“This year we are focussing on a lot of web content which is fun. We have some ideas for future plans for a physical release, maybe next year. With Joe’s current schedule and success with his non BMX work I’m not sure to what extent Joe will be involved but at some stage we are going to start work on another full release….”
Interesting. He explains the origin of the Gay For Satan shirt as well.
