This is what BMX looked like ten years ago. 30lb bikes with small bars, a visible seatpost & 44t sprocket. Before Joe Simon was filming was filming Tony Romo’s wedding with a 5DmkII, he made bmx videos with a Hi8 camera and a screw on fisheye. While brakeless riding is the norm in 2012, this was one of the early sections that made people realize how good brakeless riding could look.

George Boyd really made a name for himself with his last V Club section but he was dope over 4 years ago when he was first added to the Mutiny team too. The second to last clip where he does a big 180 rail hop to ride through some very narrow poles is still amazing.

A few days ago on twitter I saw that smith hard 180 master and fellow Mutiny teammate Grant Castelluzo was working on a new Brandon Hoerres edit. I didn’t expect to see it so soon, so I was stoked to see this pop up on Facebook today. Brandon comes through with a bunch of dope clips like a curb bump to wallride, railhop to manual, and up ice to hopover. Every time I see more of this guy I wonder why we don’t see more of this guy.

Today Mutiny brings us a glimpse of the new Etnies x Mutiny shoe that they are doing together. I cannot lie, these look pretty fresh.

Its been awhile since we’ve heard any news on Randy Taylor, so seeing this release from Mutiny on Facebook wasn’t really surprising. I know he recently had a kid, so bikes have probably been on the back burner for the past year or so. Good luck to Randy, his lady & the kid.

“Randy Taylor is no longer on the pro team. We’ve tried everything to get Randy back into the spot light, on trips and on his bike but sadly it’s not happened. Believe me it’s not through lack of trying on our end. We wish him nothing but the best and hopefully we will be seeing him back on his bike soon.”

Update:I got an email from Gaz assuring me that Randy having a kid was in no way a factor in Mutiny’s decision to part ways. Sounds like he’s just over it.

Josh, Roey, Robbo, Sean and Paul all headed down to Seventies for an afternoon to take their turn riding the Our House ramps.

In a move described as “long over due” by Mutiny, George Boyd has now been bumped to the pro team. He got together with Cameron Muilenburg and shot this all in just one afternoon. Congrats, George!

Robbo paid a visit to Austin, Texas and helped out at the Mutiny offices, enjoyed the local cuisine, and hit up some of the most well known spots that the city has to offer.
