If you’re just getting started on Twitter, my list of BMX personalities to follow from a while back is a good place to start, although there are a lot that have signed up since I made that list that you should be following too. Hitting my Twitter, following me and then looking at all the people I follow would be a good idea.
Just spotted this on G Sport George’s Twitter. He claims that they are much longer lasting than the originals and that they will be at stores within 4 weeks.
Ashton Kutcher pretty much just sucks. I mean I’m sure he’s a nice guy but he’s hopelessly unfunny. That being said, he bangs Demi Moore, and I don’t. That and the whole millionaire thing means that he > me. If Ashton gets to 1 million followers on Twitter before CNN does, he has pledged to make a sizable donation to stop the spread of malaria in Africa, so even though I don’t give a shit about Ashton, I’m now following him because it’s for a good cause, and it’s free.
I personally am on a quest to have the most followers in the BMX category on wefollow.com, starting now. I may not be able to afford 10,000 bed nets, but I will personally donate 100 dollars towards the charity of the follower who puts me over the top’s choice. Will this work? Probably not since I’ve plugged my Twitter on here numerous times and still have half the followers of Ride, but it’s worth a shot.
I Twitter hard. That’s how I saw these photos of the new Ryan Sher and Karl Poynter signature Shadow seats before anyone other side did. Shouts to @mike_at_sparkys.
I posted (on Twitter) a few weeks ago that I was going to write a blog about all the notable BMXers who use Twitter. I took my sweet ass time writing it and a lot of people wrote to me (on Twitter) telling me they were looking forward to it. The thing about Twitter is that it’s a slow growing phenomenon. I first heard about it 6 months ago and thought it sounded stupid (most people think this when they hear the concept of Twitter described, until they actually use it) but then I finally signed up and slowly got more and more into it. This is neither the time nor the place to discuss exactly why Twitter is so addictive. I just wanted to compile a list of important BMX related Twitter users so that any new Twitter users won’t have a hard time populating the list of people to follow. I’m going to periodically update this list (I’ll make a post on the main page whenever I do) once I have a bunch of worthy new users, so if you think you belong on the list or know of someone who does, feel free to leave your links and reasons why in the comments. Nigel’s got an interview in the new issue of Inked magazine. I saw it at B&N the other day but didn’t get a chance to read it. Someone should scan it. Oh also Nigel got Twitter. Check out the above photo from Inked in full after the jump along with a bunch of random BMXer Twitters I’ve started following lately. Continue reading Nigel Interview In Inked Magazine. >
Dans has the new Chase and Eddie frames in stock. How do I know? I saw it on Dans’ new Twitter account. Also, aren’t these made in the USA? If so, they’re pretty inexpensive. Just saying.
^^^I just censored myself. Mutiny and Odyssey are both on the Twitter bandwagon. And so are guys like Ed Koenning (whose name I spelled right first try, score) and Jared Souney, which gives me an easy way to stay updated on dudes I used to read about in magazines 8 years ago. The Come Up also has a Twitter and if there are any good ones that are BMX related that I should know about, let me know in the comments.
