Fiend posted a preview of the Ty Morrow signature frame that’s in the works. Just the one photo, so you don’t get to see too much, but its interesting to see such a unique paint finish on the prototype. Without a doubt Ty’s signature Fiend frame is going to sell like crazy when it’s released.

It’s 1:45 AM. I am in bed. There’s a dog next to me. The dog farted in my face the other day while I was sleeping. Tonight I have already rotated the dog so his ass is facing away from my face.

We just finally finished porting over Chicken & Rice so that it’s part of The Come Up. We already did this for Ask and Gutstains and we’re still working to get all the old posts moved over. But we’re almost there.

I wanted to post something to celebrate but I’m not exactly feeling inspired to write about BMX right now. I already rode BMX all day, which of course means I also talked about BMX all day with everyone, which means most of my interesting thoughts for the day have been used up.

That being said, I want to test this out to make sure Chicken & Rice is working properly. So I went out of my way to try and find some inspiration. I opened Twitter. I looked at my mentions. My most recent mention was from Josh Harrington. So I said y’know what, I’m going to write about Josh Harrington.

I went into the TCU blogging dashboard and searched “Josh Harrington Endsearch”. Nothing came up. Can you believe we’ve never posted his Endsearch part before? I guess it was one of those things where they never officially released it but over time so many kids put it on Youtube that they never bothered to release it themselves. Anyway I just posted the section. So we no longer have that to talk about.

I didn’t want to give up on my whole Josh Harrington idea just yet though. So I narrowed my search to just “Josh Harrington” and then I flipped back a couple pages. Did you know that we’ve used the words “Josh Harrington” in 61 posts on this site? Honestly that doesn’t seem like that many. I just searched “Garrett Reynolds” and it shows 143 though, which also doesn’t seem like that many, but at least it seems like an appropriate ratio (since we do talk about Garrett Reynolds a lot on here).

Then I saw this edit that features Ty Morrow and Josh riding Woodward in China. I remember reading an interview where Ty said he hated this trip because all they did was ride Woodward. I’ve done the flight to Beijing. I definitely wouldn’t want to do it again just to ride Woodward. In fact if you promised me $2000, an attractive Asian personal assistant and an extremely waxed up flat ledge, I would still have reservations about doing that flight again.

But still, this edit has Ty Morrow smoking out of some sort of big wooden Chinese pipe while holding a VX. And I knew that would make for a really good thumbnail. Plus this is just the kind of edit that always falls through the internet cracks. It probably got a bunch of views (we don’t know since it’s not on Vimeo and we can’t view the stats) but then it disappeared into the interweb. I’m probably the first person to watch this video in months.

I really don’t have anything to say about this video. I just really wanted to post something and then I started describing the process I went through to get here. And now here we are, 9 paragraphs later (3 of which don’t even mention Josh) and I finally feel like I’ve written enough to make this worth posting. I’ve wasted your time and mine. But at least the dog’s not going to fart in my face again.

Primo skips the normal “Welcome” edit with Ty Morrow and takes a “Day in the Life” approach instead. On this day, he builds up his bike with all the new Primo goods, then hits a few parks before heading to Arizona to film for Deadline.

Edwin doesn’t just go around handing out public praise for riders, so when he says Ty Morrow’s new Ride cover is legit, you pay attention.

I was having a hard time remembering exactly what went down on this spot, so I hit up Byron Anderson for some history. He said that Dave Young did straight over to ice. He falls on that in Nowhere Fast, and I don’t know that he ever pulled it (has Parrick finally given up on trying to keep Nowhere Fast off of Youtube?). Byron said that he thinks Ken Hale jumped it. I wish you could buy Ride back issues on iTunes at a time like this. Can you? I don’t even know.

Then I hit up Christial Rigal for a more recent history lesson. He said that Sean Burns 180ed the rail and that Nathan barred it. Burns over hangered it and Neyer did the same thing switch. Harrington did straight over tooth. He alluded to some bangers that are in the works there. I can only imagine. Sure it’s a status spot, but that makes it awesome in a way. A look at the lineage of clips filmed on that spot is like a look at the progress of street riding.

I haven’t seen this issue of Ride yet but I’ve seen a bunch of photos from Ty’s interview on Instagram and it looks insane. It’s 13 pages long. Which is really, really long. Just a few more tiny previews to tide us over until the Deadline video.

Ty Morrow and Shawn Mcintosh are now both riding for Primo. Primo must have some big plans for 2012, after making controversial cuts a few weeks back and now picking up two big names like this.
