Uh………………

Back in December of last year Mick Bayzand, Alex Hiam, Cooper Brownlee, Ryan Guettler, Zac Miner, Tom Stretton, Brock Olive, Valvo and Clint Millar spent five days in Adelaide, South Australia. Given those names, I expected that it would be a really good edit, but I think it surpassed my already high expectations. Yeah, I know we already posted a Vans Last Session edit, but while that one focused mostly on the locals, this is made up of a night before private session with the pros that came in to town and their riding on the final session. It also has a ton of angles of that wild transfer Scotty did as first seen on Cottle’s Twitvid, and then on the other edit.

Our own Brett Rohfling put this together for ESPN and he has some words about the end of the Orlando Vans park:

“The loss of the Vans Skatepark in Orlando is more than just a big room full of ramps going away. It was a second home for many of the locals. Everyone knew everyone else’s names (including the employees), and it lacked the cold, cliquey feel that some parks have. If you were from out of town, or just starting BMX, you were welcomed with the same warmth that any local would be. It helped cultivate new talent like Trey Jones, and it helped keep some of the more seasoned pros like Rob Nolli and Tom Haugen stay riding at a high level. Even though the ramps will soon be completely dismantled and removed, the fun times, friends and progression that happened there will not soon be forgotten.”

Here’s the second Let It Ride section. Came out awesome, Justin Kosman handled the filming and editing (and unlike the other one he actually did a good job). The crew rode amazing. It would be really hard to compare the riding in this one to the other one but I’m sure a lot of you will do so in the comments.

The riding in this is SO GOOD but the filming and that awful filter are SO BAD. Same dude who filmed that Dan Lacey edit but at least this time he kept his shirt on. Can you imagine being a pro rider, doing all this insanely hard stuff and then having to watch the filmer just completely blow it? How does a company like Vans who has all the money in the world to hire a decent filmer get roped into this sort of thing? Fascinating.
