Actually, when I see footage of someone that gets cut before the rollout I automatically assume it wasn’t landed. Showing a rollout takes all of what… an extra second? It’s lazy editing and filming (if the trick wasnt rolled out), that’s what it is.

actually adam, the disolves, although subjective, were actually well placed. hes a very talented rider, but not exaclty the smoothest, so the disolves helped transition the footage.

and the fades are done in an editing program adam… not with the camera… shame on you for acting like a know it all.

The fades sucked. This is a very obvious fact. If your argument is that he’s “not exactly the smoothest rider” then he should have just re-filmed the tricks smoother rather than cut off half of them. I like Chris’s riding (back then and his more recent stuff) but there’s absolutely no justification for cutting off half of a trick. There’s no precedent for that in modern videos because everyone realizes it is awful.

I have no qualms with the editing. We can subliminally tell he pulled every trick and it keeps the part moving, especially when gaps to second stages are his “filler” it’s not necessary to wonder why we didn’t seem him roll away and get lunch.
