im not sure when he quit riding i think in 2001? but i think im wrong. but he quit because he said hes just to old, and he always goes crazy and gets wrecked and he didnt want to do that anymore, and wanted to respect his body more, so he just quit all together.

This fucker don’t even ride anymore. Mcneil isn’t a “rider” owned company anymore. It’s a “I used to ride” bike company now. Shame.
Jay cannot ride a bike anymore due to too many head injures. Jay is still very involved in the game managing macneil and putting on dope contests like elevation and metro. He is a rider for life.

That made my day! So damn refreshing to see! Growing up I was the biggest Jay Miron fan! He always had something new every time you saw him. Does anyone remember him doing boomerang airs back in 1990? 900s, flip fakies, gaps to accidental overcrooks during the X Games before the trick was even invented! Him and Osato were the first to 360 whip spines and have them nose dived in. Oh and don’t forget the rail to rail hop and the manual to overgrind. The backwards nosewheelie thing to fakie at the one park is so sick! Ride messed up way back when they didn’t put him on the cover for that photo of him going super high on that foot wide quarterpipe in New Jersey. Supposedly because he was wearing a helmet. Didn’t matter it Jay Miron! Oh and what about the no foot toothpick grind?

he said that he doesnt ride because his body wont let him go 100% and that he’s not just a chiller like he couldnt ever go to a park and just cruise he was going full out all the time
dude was and always will be my favorite rider. so happy to see that again. i wish everyone had a jay miron to watch ride at every contest still
