Well filmed but somewhat cheesy, mostly the “it’s not the money or the fame” part. Of course it isnt the money or the fame, cause the amount of money he made was probably lower or middle class wages at best at his prime and no one outside of bmx has any idea who he is so that certainly isn’t fame.
It is great that he is working to help kids in the same place he was and would make bmx look super positive to outsiders so thats a really good thing.

You can bust his balls all you want for using some cliche type statements. (Besides, money and fame are all relative anyways…) At the end of the day he is stating straight to the point, no bullshit facts. It goes without saying that he has nothing to prove. He has two careers that he enjoys when most don’t even have one.

I am glad I got to watch it. I am 30yrs old and have been riding since I was 12. Its scary to think where I would be right now with BMX in my life. I owe all my friends and memeories to BMX. Great makes BMX look good.

I’m sure Heaton is a super nice guy but I was cringing through that. Sounded like a promo for an anti-drugs campaign.

And may Iask what ‘fame and success’ Heaton ever had? And did he ever actually win any contests? And apparently he got sponsored by the biggest companies in BMX? Yeah, Macneil are HUGE and his one year stint was Voulme was very very memorable.

I realise they had to furnish him as a BMX legend; but I don’t see the problem with saying that he made a few bucks off riding and filmed a few video parts instead of creating the myth of an XTREME ATHLETE.
