You obviously dont understand. There is alot of talent in the riding, which I already expressed. But had he actually used the actual song, the edit would have gotten even better reviews, I shit you not. And yes, I am an outsider, and a greaser, and damn proud of it. I wear leather to ride, and I ride hard. Being in BC, its raining and we have no indoors. So I have to sit and watch bmx videos inbetween practising laydown on back tricks. But that doesnt change the fact that I can type at over 100 wpm with high accuracy, thus making responding to everyone extremely easy for me.
So I’ll retype why I find this song ruins the guy’s edit. Everyone knows the original song by iron butterfly. So many people love it regardless what music their into. Obviously this rapper guy loved the original song. The problem here is, I was expecting someone to still sing the song, with the chorus and whatnot. But the song was severely altered lyrically, and did not contain anything other than the first few bars of the song looped over and over. Which totally ruined it for me.
Think of it this way, Take a classic rap tune from one of those kayne tpain pdiddy whatever guys that they wrote. Now imagine a death metal band taking that and then changing the words to whatever they wanted, and having blast beats and fast guitars all over the place. Now imagine that sort of concept on tons of your favriote videos. Would that not ruin your day?

I have absolutely no problem with rap being in some of the videos I have to watch, but only if its original material. When they jack tunes from other people, its jacking tunes, theres no way around it. Its worse than napster back in the day, and its worse than walking into a record store and stealing everything in it. Because they are continuely making profits from work someone else did.
What if you stole a video of another rider and copied and pasted your head onto every shot. To me, its the same thing. Rapping is not attonal, it is just deaf. With music you have to focus on both the lyrics during your writing stage, and the melody during the composition phase. I would say it it ignorant to rap attonally. And This rapping was not attonal FYI, It was just very out of scale, he did rap in key for some of it but then drifted, which begs the question what are this rappers credentials? Did he go to school for music, what makes him able to sell this supposed music. I dont really understand how anyone can like this. Its not a remix as a remix would include the original lyrics and more than just a loop of a couple bars of a song. Look at real remix’s bud, I would accept Eminem’s remix of Aerosmith’s Dream on, which he entilted sing for the moment. The chorus is still included thus making it remixed. The thing is, how can anyone stand someone just talking as music? Why talk when you can sing, singing takes far more talent, and you can still have the same lyrical content. And I like the weather in BC, we just get rain during the winter instead of snow. We also get some of the most sun during other seasons. I actually rode 3 days ago as when it stops raining the ground dries in a matter of hours, and the temperature is around 4 degrees.
As for making a video better than this, I am not this good, so what, I did not disrespect this riding whatsoever, I disrespected the song, which is horrible. There arent enough edits of other people, hip hop gangsters arent the only people who ride BMX, so get over it and cater to all. I havent seen a single edit with a country song in over a month, and it wasnt even here that I saw it. Not that I love country, but I prefer it to rap.
