The only thing that bothers me about the tripod shots is when someone else rides on the deck and shakes the tripod. Which should make the clip unusable in my opinion.

There appeared to be only 2 tripod shots the others looked like dolly shots…when properly executed it actually looks good.

dunno guys i thought it was good. The camera was steady which, for me left the focus on the rider which I think worked great as there was some wild moves. It was a good job all round. I would prefer to see this than some shaky handheld edit that looks like freakin blair witch.

These tools are there to make things look BETTER. Tripods mean the footage doesn’t shake when the shot is static or panning. A glidecam (or similar) means you can get nice smooth shots full of motion. These tools make these edits better than some shaky shit filmed at -5 in a school somewhere. Its progression and it should be encouraged. To the filmer/editor, good work on the edit, the footage was awesome and the edit was spot on. Keep on doing what you’re doing, it looks great.
