What has Edwin done that Butcher and Luc-e didnt do 5-10 yrs ago. Dont get me wrong, hes a great rider but I wouldnt say hes a big influence. If he never rode kids would still be doing the same shit they are today.

Why does Edwin have a mini ramp in his shop? I’ve never seen him touch any transition unless it was on the way to a flat bar, bench, ledge, picnic table, etc. Don’t get me wrong he’s good at those, but I’d like to see him branch out a little more.

Not to take anything away from Luc and Butcher but for me Edwin has always been more fun to watch. He just has a ridiculous amount of pop and a flow about him. Butcher and Luc just never hit shit as big as Edwin does. Just watching him ride in videos made me wear out the rewind button on my vcr back in the day (see Tubulence). Can’t really say so much in his defense recently but seeing his stuff in teh ride vids and Forward really made me a fan. To be honest I could never really watch Butcher and Luc-e like that. They’re riding to me was the equivalent of watching a jam band noodling for 20 minutes. Which is completely unfair to them because I know how difficult that shit was – And I definitely don’t want to bring back the age old argument over Butcher’s sections not looking good to the naked eye because of all his switch footed stuff.

All in all, the point is that Edwin doesn’t noodle.

this guy is still so smooth to watch like he may not be garrett reynolds good but his smooth riding more than makes up for that imo
