The ratio on that video was fucked. I don’t mean aspect or whatever, I just meant filming ratios. It was like 50% ambient shit with no riding, about 40% mediocre/tame riding, then about 10% banger shit. What the fuck? Why not just make it a banging little edit instead of doing exactly the same build-up shots for every trick? Double angles, ‘scene shots’ and a generator for a footjam whip on a tiny bank? Am I missing something here? Used to love his videos but that was shit.

To me its hands down the best web edit i’ve seen on the net in along while, and people critting shots, angles and riding wake the fuck up. It builds throughout but is subtle, the pace of music is perfect (like it or not), and more than anything it looks fun and is real… you can watch it and take from it, unlike some 15 year old doing a double whip to jam or whatever.

I love this edit. The dolly shots looked amazing, the clip I filmed was probably the worst clip, but that gap to Williamsburg wallride (the one with all the kids in the background) is amazing, so glad someone did it finally.

Videos that are shot in hd in 30p end up looking shitty on vimeo because it automatically tosses out frames and compresses it in 24p which is why a lot of guys who film with hvx’s and similar cameras choose to do the quicktime vids instead. Yeah vimeo is easier to watch but if someone puts that much work into a quality edit the least you can do is wait 2 mins to watch it the way the filmer/editor wanted it to look, instead of choppy 24p vimeo bs. So to all the kids who are hating on it for that reason fucking suck it up.
