Profile Park/Winter Video.

Here, Jeff K and Grant C, who both have very hard to spell last names, show off some technical skatepark moves. Interesting moment at 38 seconds where Jeff performs hang 5′s carving in both directions. Is that really a different trick? I can’t call it, discuss in the comments.

both hang fives looked ugly so who cares.

  • http://Website Noir

Well if you carve either ways with a manual, it’s still a manual right?

  • adam

But is an opposite carving manual a trick? That is the question.

I can carve to the left in a hang5 easily, but going to the right is harder for me.

what park and what state is that in

  • http://Website Filip

Jeff K killin’ it as usual.

  • http://Website Kyle

Maybe. I’d say it’s the same trick with a higher degree of difficulty. Then again, where do you draw the line? Most people would consider an air and an opposite air two different tricks.

at 1:07 why would you jam your foot in your tire, kills the whole flow of the line. being breakless is meant to give you more flow, not less

if you’ve ever spent time learning hang fives then you know turning one way is like a completely different trick from turning the opposite direction. so they are for sure a different trick. HOWEVER, its definitely not worth putting both in an edit, especially won an extremely simple park setup, and extra especially when they are slow and jerky in both clips. no shots at jeff, hes obviously the dude, but yeah it def didn’t do anything for the edit. otherwise good shit though

oh wow he is just doing a hang 5 i dont see anything special about being able to turn both ways

  • http://Website yesir

when you turn to the same direction that the peg your foot is on it puts a lot more force on the wheel…there for making the hang 5 more unstable…anyone who does them should know this…if you dont try and you will see

  • http://Website btownallen

your wrong, he just should have mowed it down. dare yeah slick vic.

  • Facebook User

A 360 and an opposite 360, though there are varying degress of difficulty, are still the same trick. I think a hang-five is still a hang-five if you carve it opposite, it just makes that hang five harder.

    same trick, different line
