Defgrip have a great interview with Robbie up about the new Cult DVD, which again you can pick up now on Them. I like this quote:
“The vibes on the trips are amazing and all involved are working together. When that happens, shit gets done quick. I was not cracking the whip, just enjoying riding and traveling with the crew. Other projects were forced and came with all sorts of expectations…LET’EM TALK is really an extension of who we are.”
While that’s most likely a little jab at Stay Fit (which I actually thought came out pretty good all things considered), it’s true; video’s that are forced out almost never satisfy in the way that videos which come together organically do. The Cult video is good, because you can tell they were having a good ass time and that they were excited to put the video out. Most BMX DVD’s of recent memory suck because the rider’s are just filming because they have to, the videographer is just there to get a check and the owner’s are just putting out a DVD because, hey, that’s what bike companies do right?
He also mentions that they are already working on a new DVD which is good to hear.
