Here’s some nostalgia for the older guys out there.
“Before the web we had this thing called VHS. This was released as a video-catalog for the interbike trade show in 1998. It was also played at various races and shops. The first 3 minutes is straight riding, the rest is commercials for Standard product.”
I clearly remember sitting in class in 4th grade drooling over the Lengthy and the STA in BMX Plus ads, wishing there was some magical way a 10 year old could come into a few hundred dollars and purchase the Standard frame/fork kit from the black & white Dans Comp pages in the back. Back then it was all about bullet-proof, bash-proof, lifetime warrantee, absolutely indestructible products, and the ads really reflect that. Crazy how times have changed. This will take a lot of people back for sure. Young kids, learn a little about your roots. Thanks to Glenn PP for sending this over.
