that was a better response than i was expecting! first of all, i do think the kid is good, i wasnt even riding bmx when i was his age. BUT, i bet this kid would have MORE bike control if he wasnt a slave to trends. so many kids are limiting themselves because of fashion. i guarantee that this kid would be even better if he had size appropriate bars. there is no way having your arms spread completely out helps you do anything.
its like running a high hurdle race at his age/size, sure, he could do it, but he’d be so much better with the lower hurdles.
