6 stair, bar height rail. the first time my front peg slipped off into a perfect Luc-E. Second attempt I hopped on, came to a complete stop and threw myself off down the steps. Third shot dialed it in.

to everyone: what was your first rail?

mine was a kinked rail because i thought it would be easier to hop onto and grind down. it took me two days to finally do it. This was one of the flat rails at University of South Alabama, if anyone knows what that is.

I also just ruined my Sunday by hitting my knee on the stem and dropping my bike into a ledge which proceeded to dent the fuck out of the top tube by the gusset which scares me but yeah,kinda over handrails anymore I like watching footage and shit but it doesn’t interest me too much these days. First rail I ever did I remember being like 13 or 14 in 1998 and I didn’t want to get hurt before woodward,seriously the lowest rail ever but it got high at the end,terrible run way,it felt good just to try it. When I got back from Woodward me and some friends did it. Took my pegs off for years,put em back on and did this wooden rail down some steps which was kinda shaky I just did it to prove something to myself. Idk.

It was one in Byker wall, poor choice for a first one because it had an L shape at the bottom that could trip you if you jump over that side. Rode out on the steps a few times then eventually pulled it and my crank snapped off. I was buzzing Benson ’98 style.

skatepark rails dont count? go to the flow skatepark and do their handrail down the steps i would rather do the 3 stair rail in the streets you probably boast about anyday than that rail

mine was a kinda steep, stem height, square six stair. i was riding by myself and set up my video camera to tape it. 146 bitch runs before i hopped on. when i did hop on, pulled it perfect first try. booyah.

there was this super mellow 6 stair rail without a kink at the bottom. I pulled up kinda slow and when my back peg hit first it bugged me out so i ended up slamming my pedal on the rail, missed my front peg, and full on luc-e’d it. this was when no one even cared about that grind.

lets just say chester blacksmith had everything to do with my first rail.

mine was a down a nine with a kink at the end and it was sprinkling, i was with my brother and we filmed it, it took me 2 tries. first try i got on then slipped off, 2nd try got it but it was sketchy as hell, then 3rd try it was gut.
